"TUMU ORA"
The theme "Tumu Ora," which translates to "the source," beautifully encapsulates the beginnings of our executive members' journeys, establishing it as the perfect foundation for our initiatives. Our mission goes beyond simply hosting an 'Ori Tahiti competition; it aims to share the richness of our native culture and to embody the pure essence of Mana that we all strive to connect with from this source.
When Tamure Tahiti was inaugurated in 2023, our primary goal was to create an inclusive platform for dancers. We wanted to offer a new competition that not only allows them to showcase their talents but also encourages them to express themselves freely and authentically through dance. Our team, comprised entirely of native organizers and founders, possesses an in-depth understanding of Tamure's cultural significance. This understanding has driven our long-standing objective to expand our reach and share our profound cultural roots with a broader audience.
We are excited to announce that Tamure Tahiti will be hosting ‘Ori Tahiti competition in France and Huahine in the near future. The inaugural event in France is set to take place in Tours on November 08 and 09, 2025, at the prestigious Auditorium Ronsard. Following this, we will hold at the home source in Fare, Huahine, French Polynesia, in 2026, at the beachfront location of Place Marara.
